The Bureau of Labor Statistics released January CPI data on Friday, February 13th, showing inflation falling to 2.4%. This beat expectations of 2.5%.
The "Sticky" Prices
While energy prices dropped, Core CPI (services/rent) remains at 2.5%. Prices are rising slower, but they are still rising on top of the 20% cumulative growth since 2020.
